Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Assistant to handle leasing, marketing, and positive resident relations for a property. Regular onsite presence, showing units, and closing leases are core duties of this role.

Responsibilities include handling leasing paperwork, turnover, prospect response within 24 hours, and supporting retention programs. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws are required, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and perform on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lease, market, and maintain positive resident relations for the property.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance required.
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour, and sign a lease.
• Close sales: appointments, leads, tours, model units, follow-up.
• Complete leasing paperwork prior to move-in.
• Assist with lease audits, walking units, and turnover processes.
• Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data; respond to leads within 24 hours.
• Implement sales/marketing strategies to increase traffic and achieve leasing goals.
• Perform various administrative tasks as needed.
• Address resident complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in resident retention programs and events.
• Contribute to upkeep of office and common areas.
• Assist in annual marketing plan outreach.
• Review market surveys to inform plans.
• Maintain knowledge of property and market conditions.
