Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will supervise staff, manage rent collection, and ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, reducing delinquencies, and supporting budgeting to optimize cash flow. This role emphasizes strong customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting payments and income accurately from applicants, residents, and non-residents.
• Processing and reconciling daily account receivables.
• Monitoring bad debt, sending late notices, and filing evictions.
• Helping meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident accounts and billbacks of utilities where applicable.
• Closing procedures and reporting at month end.
• Maintaining records and auditing resident files for accuracy.
• Walking units, posting move-out charges and security deposits.
• Onsite staff supervision, training, coaching, and development.
• Leads marketing efforts and resident retention programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
