Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Strong communication with clients, staff and management.
• HIPAA privacy standards knowledge required.
• RHIT certification or ROI certification within 90 days is required.
• Experience with medical records or healthcare is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Meet facility revenue goals on a consistent basis.
• Answer day-to-day questions posed by clients and Release of Information Specialists (ROIS).
• Identify and recommend opportunities to increase productivity.
• Comply with all release of information related functions per service agreement.
• Prepare weekly dashboards and month-end operational performance reports.
• Monitor productivity and quality to ensure high customer service satisfaction.
• Assist Director of Client Operations in training and evaluation of ROIS staff onsite and remote.
• Assist in hiring, training, and terminating employees as needed.
• Schedule onsite staff including time-off requests and payroll approval.
• Distribute work to local site personnel and coordinate workflow with remote supervisors.
• Provide physical coverage at various sites when workload dictates.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Contribute to review and revision of site procedures.
• Perform quality reviews and site evaluations as required by clients.
• Review release of information requests for validity and route appropriately.
• Process medical records for requests and assemble charts as needed.
• Log information sent to requesters in accordance with procedures.
• Document release of information in medical records or other required formats.
• Calculate billing and prepare invoices; certify medical records copies.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure supplies are available at facilities.
• Submit travel expense reports with receipts to manager.
