Job summary

Modern IT seeks an experienced IT Alignment Specialist to drive proactive benchmarking and client-facing risk assessments for La Verne-based clients.

You will conduct LAN/WAN benchmarking, run scheduled service days, and deliver clear recommendations. The role emphasizes documentation, SOP creation, and collaboration with the vCIO and service teams. On-site in La Verne, with client visits and 8am-5pm PST hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience in MSP or similar.
• Ability to benchmark systems against standards and translate findings into client-facing risk.
• Strong documentation skills: SOPs, checklists, and a technical library.
• Professional client communication; onsite track requires comfortable leading client meetings.
• Gate: hands-on benchmarking performed with findings documented as client recommendations.
• Based near or able to commute to La Verne, CA for 8am-5pm PST hours.
• On-call weekend rotation for client emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark LAN/WAN and configurations against MSP standards.
• Lead Scheduled Service Day meetings and deliverables.
• Reduce reactive tickets by closing misalignments.
• Develop and maintain client documentation library and SOPs.
• Contribute benchmarks to Standards Committee and update library.
• Identify project opportunities and feed into vCIO preflight and TBR process.
