Job summary

Modern IT is seeking a proactive Technology Alignment professional in La Verne, CA, to benchmark client LAN/WAN and configurations, document gaps, and translate findings into business risk and value. You will lead client meetings, drive proactive service days, and contribute to standards while identifying project opportunities.

You will work onsite 8am-5pm PST, traveling to client sites as needed, and collaborate with the vCIO and Service Desk to deliver reliable client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience (LAN/WAN, servers, endpoints, RMM and security tooling) in an MSP or equivalent environment.
• Ability to benchmark systems against standards and translate findings into client-facing risk and business value.
• Strong documentation skills including SOPs and checklists.
• Professional client communication; comfortable leading onsite client meetings and reliable transportation for visits.
• Gate: hands-on benchmarking work performed and findings turned into documented risk and client recommendations.
• Based near or able to commute to La Verne, CA for 8am-5pm PST hours.

Responsibilities

• Benchmarking & scorecards: review each assigned client's LAN/WAN and configurations against MSP and industry standards, on schedule.
• The Scheduled Service Day: run BDOS and EDOS client meetings, complete Unique Client Checklists, and deliver the Service Day Deliverable.
• Fewer reactive tickets: close misalignments that drive reactive work, reducing tickets per Endpoint per Month and improving resolution time.
• Documentation & SOPs: build and maintain the client technical documentation library and client-specific SOPs.
• Sharper standards: contribute benchmarks to the Standards Committee and keep the standards library evolving.
• Revenue from findings: surface project opportunities from findings and feed the vCIO preflight and Technology Business Review process.
