Job summary

Gemma Power Systems, a leading EPC firm in the power and renewable energy sectors, seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead on-site activities across multiple projects. You will manage site crews, coordinate safety, quality, and utilities while ensuring compliance with engineered drawings and schedules.

Relocation to project areas is expected. The role requires 4+ years in civil construction, strong communication and PC skills, and experience with foundations, excavations, and dewatering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction experience in a Civil Superintendent position.
• Knowledge of the construction field and best practices.
• Experience on power plant, industrial, or renewable energy sites preferred.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures, staffing, and timelines for each phase of construction.
• Coordinate scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
• Ensure equipment operators are trained and qualified.
• Daily planning and reporting of quantities.
• Ensure foundations and anchor bolts follow engineered drawings and specs.
• Coordinate underground utilities installation with other discipline superintendents.
• Document as-builts, excavations and relocations.
• Notify Dig-Safe or similar agency before excavation.
• Forward all required docs to QA/QC for turnover.
