Job summary

Gemma Power Systems, a leading EPC company, seeks a Civil Superintendent to direct site crews and manage contracts across construction projects. You will develop work plans for foundations, including excavation, backfill, and dewatering, and ensure compliance with engineered drawings and schedules while relocating to project areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction experience in a Civil Superintendent position.
• Experience on power plant, industrial, or renewable energy sites preferred.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability to changing workflows and priorities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures for construction and staffing for each phase.
• Coordinate scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
• Work with Safety Coordinator to ensure operators are trained and qualified.
• Daily planning and reporting of quantities.
• Ensure foundations and anchor bolts are installed per drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with other discipline superintendents for underground utilities.
• Ensure concrete, soils, and excavation work meet project specifications.
• Ensure as-builts, excavations, and underground relocation documentation is complete.
• Notify Dig-Safe or similar agency before excavating.
• Provide documentation to QA/QC for turnover books.
