Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Superintendent to lead an assigned Texas civil group focused on mass grading and large-scale site development, including utility-scale solar and substations. You will direct Superintendent I personnel, foremen, and crews, coordinating safety, quality, and production across multiple operations.

Strong transferable civil leadership and energy-sector experience are preferred; Trimble/Topcon GPS systems familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years in construction management or craft supervision in heavy civil.
• Experience leading multiple crews and coordinating staffing, equipment, quality, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program across operations and coach field leaders.
• Coordinate environmental requirements and SWPPP measures.
• Direct earthwork, grading, drainage, and site work per plans and budgets.
• Develop look-ahead plans and coordinate handoffs between operations.
• Forecast staffing, manage resources, and address performance needs.
• Balance crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractor support.
• Provide field input for cost-to-complete forecasts and recovery plans.
• Coordinate survey and grade-control support and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee turnover, inspections, and documentation with stakeholders.
