Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects in the US is seeking a civil engineer to perform on-site inspection and quality assurance for highway and roadway construction projects in Los Angeles, CA. You will verify conformity with plans and specifications, coordinate with contractors and public utilities, and document progress through daily to monthly reports.

Required ABET-accredited civil engineering background (EIT permitted), and at least two years in roadway construction inspection;

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering program or EIT certification substituted for education.
• Minimum two years experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects.
• Determine whether completed work complies with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate work with the contractor and public utility agencies.
• Maintain records and reports related to the project.
• Coordinate directly with the general contractor.
• Negotiate change orders.
• Assist in inspections to ensure contract compliance.
• Assist in preparing contract change orders, estimates, and other project documents.
• Coordinate sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Monitor and track contractor progress.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Onsite at client site to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships.
