Job summary

Accenture Construct seeks an experienced civil inspector to ensure quality and compliance on highway and roadway projects. You will perform on-site inspections, review conformance with plans, coordinate with contractors and utilities, and maintain detailed project records.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited civil engineering education and 2+ years of roadway inspection experience, including knowledge of contract provisions and change orders. Onsite work at client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year ABET-accredited civil engineering program, or a valid EIT certification may be substituted for the required education
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects performing duties described in this contract
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program and minimum two (2) years’ experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects.
• Determine whether completed work complies with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate work with the contractor and various public utility agencies.
• Maintain records and reports related to the project.
• Coordinate directly with the general contractor.
• Negotiate change orders.
• Assist in inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions.
