Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in California required.
• Minimum of one Caltrans highway project experience.
• Minimum of 8 years’ roadway/highway inspection on major public works.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with stress analysis and materials properties.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection and QA on highway/roadway construction projects.
• Verify work aligns with plans and specifications; inspect structural elements.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, project team, and testing labs.
• Assist with change orders and contract-related documents/reports.
• Perform calculations for grade, alignment, quantities, falsework, shoring.
• Monitor contractor progress and maintain project records with reports.
