Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a seasoned Construction Inspector for Inland Empire water and wastewater capital improvements. You will provide owner’s representative and QA services, inspect contractor activities, and maintain records of quantities and materials installed.

The role requires at least 10 years’ experience and a BS in construction-related field or equivalent; a valid driver's license is essential. Onsite work with day/night shifts and collaboration with project teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology OR Additional 4 (four) years of related experience
• Minimum of 10 (ten) years' experience as a Construction Inspector
• Valid driver's license
• Designation as CMIT (Construction Manager In-Training) per CMAA (Construction Management Association of America)
• Certified as a Concrete Field-Testing Technician Level 1 per ACI (American Concrete Institute)
• NICET, APWA certifications
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and geotechnical reports
• Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports, both manually and electronically
• Ability to work in team environment and lead assigned
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust

Responsibilities

• Provide owner's Rep' and QA services for public agencies water and wastewater capital improvements in Inland Empire areas.
• Inspect and record Contractor's construction activities at the project site to ensure conformance to the contract documents.
• Take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed.
• Review and compile Inspection Team's field information and produce reports as assigned.
• Respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project.
• Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor.
• Work within a Project Team environment to resolve problems.
• Perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects.
• Assist in preconstruction services, including review of drawings for constructability reviews estimates.
• Assist in setting policies and procedures for company inspection standards and notify Senior Management of any event that will significantly affect completion, profitability or client relationship.
• Onsite at client site with day and night shift assignments.
• Some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.
