Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking chaplains to serve as frontline Christian ministry staff across assigned client sites. You will visit worksites, provide confidential pastoral care, and support employees and their families with spiritual guidance and resources.

Roles involve representing the ministry with integrity and engaging with communities in a compassionate, faith-centered manner. Regular visits, crisis support, and funeral/bereavement assistance may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary group and interfaith setting.
• Strong listening and presentation skills for client interactions.
• Maintains dignity and compassion in stressful situations.
• Commitment to Christian lifestyle and ministry values as per MCHAP.
• Excellent oral and written communication with leadership and teams.
• Ability to document accurately according to standards.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to learn new software.
• Must have active state driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Visit client sites regularly (usually weekly) to engage employees and families.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for personal and family issues.
• Offer literature and resources to assist employees with life challenges.
• Plan or participate in funerals and memorials as needed.
• Support notifications of death or serious injuries to families and employees.
• Assist in post‑termination care to ease transitions for affected workers.
• Represent the ministry in outreach and employee orientation.
• Respond to leadership requests within the scope of the agreement.
