Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains seeks Chaplains to provide spiritual care and ministry to employees and their families across client sites. This field role requires regular brief visits, confidential conversations, and support during life events, illness, or bereavement.

Chaplains work in a Christian ministry context, collaborating with client companies to foster care and well-being. Strong interpersonal, crisis, and pastoral skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, interfaith setting.
• Strong listening, presentation, and communication skills.
• Spiritual maturity and Christian lifestyle aligned with ministry values.
• Diplomatic, patient handling of diverse groups and confidential issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication with leadership and families.
• Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and follow policies.
• Proficient with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and general tech.
• Active state driver’s license and minimum auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interacts with companies and employees with professional character.
• Makes brief weekly visits to client worksites to build trust.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues.
• Assists in planning or attending funerals and bereavement support.
• Reports to clients about death or serious injuries and offers support.
• Provides post-termination care and transitions to new work environments.
• Supports spiritual enrichment activities as appropriate.
• Distributes literature and resources to employees.
• Represents ministry services to clients as needed.
• Participates in new employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
• Fulfills other duties per Executive Director of Operations with permission.
