Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking chaplains to fulfill the mission and Christian ministry across client sites. Chaplains provide spiritual support, confidential pastoral conversations, and crisis assistance to employees and their families.

They visit worksites weekly, offer bereavement and life-issue support, and collaborate with company leadership to address employee well-being within a Christian ministry framework.

Qualifications

• Must work in an interfaith setting and accept diverse cultures, beliefs, and values.
• Strong listening and communication skills; ability to interact with clients, employees, and families.
• Spiritual maturity and a Christian lifestyle.
• Diplomacy and courtesy when dealing with diverse groups; maintain confidentiality.
• Emotional stability to cope with suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.
• Computer proficiency with Google Suites and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger and convey faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interact with companies and employees with integrity and character.
• Visit worksites weekly to build trust and relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions and referrals to assistance.
• Assist in funerals and post-termination care as needed.
• Notify families of death or serious injuries; support during grief.
• Coordinate life-issue resources and support for employees and families.
• Support executive leadership and participate in employee orientation.
