Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to optimize operations for a manufacturing/production client in Indianapolis. This onsite role emphasizes strong technical repair skills and proactive maintenance to support safety, reliability, and productivity.

You will lead maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, fire life safety, and controls, ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements while applying energy management practices and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 4-5 years of related experience.
Universal CFC certification preferred.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs or more.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
Ensure facility and building systems meet applicable codes and safety directives.
Maintain an energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
Assist with implementing preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
Follow safety policies for handling hazardous materials and keep a clean, safe workplace.
Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
Apply in-depth knowledge to accomplish complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
Coach others and share knowledge across multiple disciplines within the function.
Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus and reach agreements.
