Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer in Plano, TX for on-site maintenance of commercial properties. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.

You will inspect systems, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with technicians or contractors to ensure optimal operation. Requires a high school diploma or GED (trade school preferred) and 2+ years of related maintenance experience, with knowledge of energy management and MS Office

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of related building maintenance experience.
Knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems.
Licenses/permits for trade as required (Journeyman/Master Electrician or similar).
Strong organizational and analytical skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, systems, and grounds.
Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing to ensure equipment operates within design specs.
Lead and coordinate maintenance work with technicians or contractors.
Respond to emergencies and prioritize repairs; document maintenance activities.
Maintain energy management practices to minimize operating costs and keep systems efficient.
