Job summary

Republic Finance is seeking an on-site Branch Operations Intern for a hands-on finance/business experience. You will learn the day-to-day operations of a branch and gain exposure to the broader organization, including sales, customer service, compliance training, loan closing, and process improvement projects.

Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in Business or Finance, eager to learn, reliable, and capable of 18-20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Ideal candidates will be eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must have the ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet our acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for insurance licensing in order to sell voluntary insurance products.

Responsibilities

• Learn the loan process and all necessary regulatory training by following an accelerated Assistant Branch Manager Program.
• Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings and fundings including allocating files for doc prep; auditing closed files; prep files ready to fund.
• Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President learning about responsibilities at their levels to understand the promotional path to see what your career potential is with Republic Finance.
• Attend regional meetings and/or workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division of the company.
• Learn about one or more Branch Operations process improvement related projects.
• Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are often strongly desired.
