Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of billing, project accounting, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts and apply billing requirements accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with project accounting, engineering, construction, architecture, or professional services is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals and contracts to ensure accurate project setup and registration.
• Verify billing requirements, budgets, rates, payment terms, contract details, and project information.
• Assist with project openings, closings, and ongoing budget maintenance.
• Monitor project budgets and change orders, communicating potential issues with Project Managers.
• Prepare timely and accurate invoices in accordance with client contracts and established billing cycles.
• Review project documentation to ensure revenue recognition requirements are met.
• Prepare complete invoice packages, including cover letters, applications for payment, lien waivers, and other required supporting documentation.
• Distribute invoices through client portals, email, and other approved delivery methods.
• Maintain accurate project and billing records while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with Project Managers and internal teams to resolve billing questions and provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
