Job summary

Virginia State Police seeks a Help Desk Analyst / Background Check Program Coordinator to support employer background check initiatives using criminal justice data. You will interact with employers by email and phone to set up and maintain employer accounts, and determine eligibility for VSP accounts.

The role is based at VSP Headquarters in North Chesterfield, VA, with standard full-time hours. The position requires advanced computer skills, multitasking, and strong customer-relations

Qualifications

• Advanced computer skills required.
• Ability to multitask and determine root cause of problems.
• Customer relations skills; good verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support VSP’s background check program for job applicants and employees.
• Interact with employers by email, telephone and other means to set up and maintain employer accounts.
• Determine if an employer is qualified to have a VSP account and set up accounts and users.
• Assist with getting users access to the employer ePortal and update account information and user information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
