Job summary
Thales Avionics, Inc. (IFE) at Jamaica, NY – JFK Airport is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician to perform line maintenance, installation, and ground equipment service on Thales IFE systems and other trained equipment.
You will support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation, ensuring safety and compliance with technical and quality requirements. Applicants must have an FAA A&P certificate, strong avionics knowledge, ability to read wiring diagrams, and the capability to obtain
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required, with 14 CFR 65.83 compliance.
- Fluent English; legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain SIDA badge and pass background checks.
- Valid driver license and ability to operate airport equipment after training.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on Thales systems per procedures.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance and system modifications.
- Address and clear airline logbook discrepancies related to Thales systems.
- Document all maintenance activities daily and submit reports to supervisor.
- Provide customers with ongoing support and follow company policies.
