Job summary

Thales is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician for onsite work at Queens, New York (JFK Airport), performing line maintenance, installation, and repair of In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems in accordance with FAA regulations.

The role requires strong avionics knowledge, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced airport environment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. FAA A&P certification and SIDA eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain SIDA badge and pass background/drug test.
• Strong avionics knowledge and ability to read wiring diagrams.
• English fluency (spoken and written) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform line maintenance, installation, and repair on Thales IFE systems on site at JFK.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize aircraft downtime.
• Document maintenance activities in airline logbooks and reports.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal procedures.
• Maintain safety, reliability, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced airport environment.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and customers to communicate technical info clearly.
