Job summary
Thales Avionics, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a Lead, Line Maintenance Technician to oversee line maintenance, installation, repair, and ground equipment maintenance on IFE systems and related avionics.
You will lead the team, troubleshoot, and ensure work complies with technical and quality standards. The role requires FAA A&P or Thales Repairman certificate (with upgrade path to A&P within 1 year), strong reading of blueprints, and ability to travel; strong MS Office skills are expected
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in line maintenance.
- FAA A&P or Thales Repairman certificate required; upgrade to A&P if needed within 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Direct crew as Shift Lead and prioritize workload.
- Train team members and review their work.
- Perform maintenance and system modifications on authorized systems.
- Ensure aircraft logbooks are accurate and signed off.
- Document maintenance daily and report progress to supervisor.
- Provide ongoing customer support while following company policies.
