PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Technical Service Representative to operate onsite at the Magna Mirrors facility in Newaygo, MI. You will deliver technical service for automotive coatings, support customers, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, strong product knowledge, and coordination with the Optima Solutions regional team. Onsite work and occasional after-hours support are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment, providing technical service or support.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Proficient in Excel with ability to maintain complex spreadsheets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Able to work around automated equipment and lift up to ~30 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support on a wide range of coatings and application techniques.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams; resolve issues quickly.
• Help manage inventory programs to improve turns and reduce obsolescence.
• Share regular updates with PPG technical teams and account management.
• Assist with process improvements and customer projects as required.
• Support other PPG automotive coatings customers in surrounding areas as needed.
