Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Engineer to ensure reliable operation of automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. You will diagnose, repair, and stabilize electro-mechanical and automation systems, acting as a senior escalation point during downtime events.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, system health, and reliability rather than programming or commissioning, with collaboration across maintenance and operations on site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs, drives, motors, sensors in production environments.
• Experience with automated conveyors, lifts, AS/RS, robotics preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills with SQL, Python, Linux for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health of automated systems (conveyors, lifts, robotics).
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to resolve downtime.
• Document maintenance using CMMS and on-site tools; escalate when needed.
• Provide on-the-job support to technicians and operators; ensure safety standards.
