Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Engineer to support reliability, availability, and performance of automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. This hands-on role focuses on system health, equipment reliability, and technical execution on-site.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and stabilize complex electro-mechanical systems, guiding technicians and collaborating with onsite teams to ensure uptime and safety. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or hands-on equivalent in electrical/automation fields.
• Hands-on experience diagnostic troubleshooting of PLCs, VFDs, and motors.
• Knowledge of automated conveyor and robotic systems for maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health of automated systems (conveyors, lifts, robots).
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Diagnose PLCs (Allen-Bradley), VFDs, motors, sensors, and control hardware.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Document maintenance actions and findings in CMMS (Maximo).
• Act as senior escalation point during system disruptions and downtime.
