Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Engineer to support the reliability, availability, and performance of its automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. The role is hands-on, on-site, and focused on system health and equipment reliability rather than programming or commissioning.

You’ll diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley), VFDs, motors and robotics, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in Maximo, while collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
1+ year experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley) for diagnostics.
1+ year with VFDs, motors, and drive-related issues.
Experience with SQL, Python, and Linux for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the health of automated systems (conveyors, lifts, robotics).
Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors to resolve production issues.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
Document maintenance activities in CMMS (Maximo).
Escalate technical issues as senior point of contact during downtime.
Ensure OSHA/electrical safety compliance on site.
