Job summary

Charities Housing is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our Santa Clara County housing communities. You will handle leasing, resident relations, notices, and Yardi data entry, while assisting the Property Manager to maintain compliance and service standards.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma, excellent communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate well to residents, staff, service providers, and vendors.
• Must be mature and responsible. Must be able to demonstrate good judgment.
• Must be flexible in attitude and work schedule.
• Must have good communication skills and telephone manner.
• Previous experience of a similar type is desirable.
• Demonstrate the ability to work alone and follow directions.
• Must have a stable background, indicate an ability to make decisions, accept training, and grow with the position.
• Must show ability to keep records, demonstrate supervisory qualities, and like people.
• Must be self-motivated, cooperative, personable, and empathetic to human needs.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone, show units, process applications and recertifications.
• Maintain tenant files and respond to inquiries from residents and the public.
• Support the Property Manager and meet performance metrics.
• Enforce rules and regulations at the property.
• Post rents, process applications and certifications in Yardi.
• Prepare weekly reports and maintain records for audits.
• Conduct unit inspections and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Be on-call during some weekends and after hours as required.
• Prepare disposition of security deposits and related paperwork.
