Job summary

Ardmore Roderick is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a team delivering infrastructure solutions at a client site in Florida. The position requires daily on-site presence in Tallahassee, collaborating with the PMO and multiple stakeholders to coordinate complex projects within a port environment.

Your background includes 3–7 years in project coordination or PM support, a related bachelor's degree, and proficiency with Procore, ACC, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in project coordination or project management support.
• Demonstrated and relevant experience on maritime, wharf, harbor or port infrastructure projects that service large ships.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a direct support resource to the client’s PMO, assisting in coordination and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
• Support Project Managers in planning, coordination and execution of assigned projects within the client’s portfolio.
• Track project performance against scope, schedule and budget baselines and escalate variances.
• Coordinate activities between internal departments, contractors, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, risk logs, meeting minutes and status reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify alignment with project plans.
• Review contractors pay applications and change orders for accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
• Assist in coordinating project activities within an active port environment to minimize disruption.
