Job summary

Ardmore Roderick in Florida seeks a Construction Inspector to join our field team at the client site. You will act as the primary field representative ensuring QA/QC compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

The role requires 5–10 years of inspection experience on maritime or port projects, strong communication and organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; travel and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced degree in construction management or civil engineering technology is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities to ensure QA/QC compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily field inspections to verify plans and specifications are followed.
• Serve as the onsite field representative for Florida projects.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and installation methods for quality and compliance.
• Maintain daily logs of activities, including work performed, labor, equipment, and site conditions.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety requirements including OSHA standards.
• Coordinate inspection activities with client schedules to minimize disruption to operations.
• Review and verify installed quantities to support progress payments.
