Job summary

Actalent in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on assembly processes and equipment efficiency. You will drive continuous improvement, coach teams, and support reliability, material improvements, and process integrity in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing or assembly engineering, familiarity with automotive-like processes, and a Bachelor's degree (preferred). The role is onsite with opportunities for project leadership and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred).
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs (preferred).
• Working knowledge of automotive assembly and related processes.
• Experience in managing cost performance, planning, target-setting and technical knowledge of assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with international team members to enhance assembly processes.
• Conduct activities with safety as the top priority.
• Initiate and manage projects to improve KPIs.
• Work with production and maintenance to address chronic issues and implement countermeasures.
• Develop and execute annual plans aligned with company and departmental objectives.
• Understand technical aspects of assembly operations and establish critical process control parameters.
• Coordinate supplier and contractor activities, including scope, safety and schedules.
• Oversee new model preparation and launch.
• Promote two-way communication at all levels to address issues.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
