Job summary

AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing seeks an Area Manager for the Alamance Manufacturing Facility in Mebane, NC. This fully onsite role will manage day-to-day operations in a defined area and drive performance across production, cost, and quality control metrics.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage teams and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of a specified area at Alamance Manufacturing Facility.
• Defines, monitors, and is responsible for overall operations performance.
• Implements production, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
• Oversees staffing, development, and performance management for operations staff.
• Manages relationships with business, sales, and engineering; coordinates strategies and joint initiatives.
• Resolves production scheduling problems by analyzing reports and available resources.
• Prepares production information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
• All other duties as assigned.
