University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora, CO seeks a full-time Anatomic Pathology (AP) Business Support Office Manager to lead the AP Front Office and Surgical Pathology Laboratory support functions. This role supervises eight full-time staff, manages day-to-day operations, and collaborates with pathologists and department leadership to improve efficiency.

The position emphasizes policy development, training, QA activities, and performance management to ensure high-quality patient care support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological science or a closely related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in medical office/personnel management, incl. supervisory role.

Responsabilités

• Oversees specimen activities, accessioning, testing requests, and data entry into clinical reports.
• Prepares staff schedules and provides back-up coverage for Front Office.
• Develops policies and maintains the AP Front Office Manual.
• Ensures inline training and conducts competency checks per CAP requirements.
• Engages in QA/QC activities and prepares quarterly QA reports.
• Resolves technical problems and analyzes root causes for process improvements.
• Leads staff feedback forums and coaching for high morale.
