Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center, a leading hospital in Palm Beach County, seeks an Anatomic Pathology Operations Manager to lead the AP Department’s daily operations, staffing, and budget adherence. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive quality initiatives, and coordinate with the pathology team to sustain high standards of service and patient care.

The role requires advancing technology evaluation, training programs, and collaboration with hospital departments to maintain efficient workflows

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in anatomical pathology.
• State of Florida Histology Supervisor License or eligible; obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CAP, and AABB accreditation standards.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations on clinical laboratories.
• Strong pathology/histology quality and IT knowledge for equipment and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Anatomic Pathology Department and ensure service quality.
• Staffing, scheduling, productivity, and inventory management within budget.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, TJC and Florida DOH regulations.
• Lead quality improvement, QC, proficiency programs, and documentation control.
• Collaborate with pathology team to maintain service delivery and efficiency.
• Identify training needs and develop pathology/histology training programs.
• Plan department goals and evaluate technology and vendor proposals.
• Address instrument issues, workflows, reagents, and process improvements.
• Communicate across hospital departments to improve patient care.
