Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Anatomic Pathology (AP) Business Support Office Manager to supervise eight staff and lead day-to-day operations for the Surgical Pathology Laboratory. This role partners with pathologists and department leadership to create efficiencies and support patient care operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating specimen activities, staff scheduling, policy development, training, and QA/PI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological science or related field required.
• 4-6 years of professional medical office/personnel management experience.
• Supervisor/managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the AP Front Office and supervision of 8 staff.
• Coordinates specimen activities, accessioning, testing requests, and data entry.
• Develops policies, training plans, and competency checks per CAP requirements.
• Manages QA/QI activities, reports, and performance evaluations.
• Addresses issues with sound judgment and maintains high morale.
