Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer Co-Op in Manchester, Iowa for Summer/Fall 2027. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and operators to address test, product flow and quality issues while gaining hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing.

The role involves a full-time co-op from June through December, with potential for ongoing mentorship and exposure to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing support team.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co-op session.
• Completion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, test technicians, production-floor operators, and manufacturing support staff to resolve test, product flow, quality, ergonomic, and safety issues.
• Collect, prepare, and assist in analyzing test failures to determine root cause and support corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and process inhibitors, and implement effective corrective measures.
• Support or lead site initiatives from a technical perspective.
• Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
