Job summary

RTX is offering a full‑time, Monday‑Friday co‑op in Manchester, IA, focused on aerospace electronics manufacturing. You will work with facilities and manufacturing teams to resolve site issues and drive continuous improvement while learning production layout and safety best practices.

The program runs June–December and requires 60+ college credits with related STEM studies; on‑site collaboration is essential, with a broad benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co‑op session.
• Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co‑op session.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience using CAD software.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Facilities and Manufacturing Engineers, production floor operators, and support staff to address and resolve site‑related issues.
• Implement continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Identify and develop creative solutions to address and improve site safety concerns.
• Assist with shop floor layouts and help maintain systems to ensure the facility is prepared for production, including planning for new machinery installations or relocations.
• Support projects aimed at achieving site safety and sustainability goals.
