Job summary

RTX in Manchester, IA is seeking a motivated student for a full-time co-op session running June through December. You will collaborate with Facilities and Manufacturing Engineers, production floor operators, and support staff to address site-related issues and drive safety and efficiency improvements on the shop floor.

You will gain hands-on experience with manufacturing techniques for advanced electronic equipment, learn CAD-based layouts, and develop project-management skills while balancing

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM.
• Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Facilities and Manufacturing Engineers, production floor operators, and support staff to address and resolve site-related issues.
• Implement continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Identify and develop solutions to address and improve site safety concerns.
• Assist with shop floor layouts and help maintain systems for production readiness, including planning for machinery installations or relocations.
• Support projects aimed at achieving site safety and sustainability goals.
