Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to join our on-site team in Mojave, CA. You will provide mechanical engineering expertise to support maintenance, reliability improvements, and project execution.

Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance programs, improving equipment uptime, and analyzing KPIs to guide cost-efficient improvements. A bachelor’s in engineering is required; master’s preferred, with 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of engineering, maintenance, or project management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for the maintenance team
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to improve equipment reliability and OEE
• Manage and improve preventive maintenance programs and PM schedules
• Develop and present data, recommendations, and improvement plans
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and reduce costs
• Monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness
• Ensure projects meet engineering standards, safety, and quality requirements
• Champion safety culture and plant procedures
