Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Brunswick, GA is seeking an experienced onsite Manager of Accounting to own the site’s financial statements, month-end close, and control environment. You’ll lead the team, partner with finance and operations, and drive transformation using AI-enabled tools and data analytics to deliver accurate financial insights.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and ERP experience are preferred; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Career experience in accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, operations finance, or related role(s) demonstrating professional understanding of accounting and cost principles.
• Collaboration/Contribution mindset and ability to build effective relationships to solve problems.
• Process and Transformation focus; experience standardizing and optimizing processes.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the financial statements, month-end close process, and control environment.
• Collaborate with mill and business teams to drive process adherence and accountability for accurate financial results.
• Apply a risk-based approach to accounting policies and controls.
• Implement transformative processes and eliminate non-value-added steps.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and data analytics to improve close, insights, reconciliations, and controls.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and external auditors onsite.
• Be a decision-maker, share knowledge, and respectfully challenge status quo.
• Drive change with a focus on innovation and process improvement.
• Identify AI/digital use cases to reduce manual work and improve decisions.
• Advance Principled Based Management culture by reinforcing Guiding Principles.
