Job summary

UG2, a Boston-based leader in facilities management, seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee critical financial close, reporting, and team leadership. You will drive accuracy, collaborate across departments, and partner with operations on budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires a CPA (preferred) and 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership, with strong GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a services-based or multi-site organization (facilities management, property services, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
• Partner with operations and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and integrations as needed.
