Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician to support customer sites in California, delivering world-class AV service. You will set up conference spaces, perform preventive maintenance, and train clients on AV technology while traveling to El Segundo weekly and Goleta quarterly.

You will handle equipment cleaning, documentation, and on-site troubleshooting for LAN/WAN/VLAN networks with teams like Logitech, Extron, Crestron, and Q-SYS.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient with hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Advanced computer knowledge (Windows/Mac).
• Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible to work after hours and weekends.
• Able to climb ladders and move equipment.
• Experience delivering high-level AV support (White Glove).
• Strong troubleshooting across AV and networking systems.
• Customer service oriented with corporate clients.
• Experience with Logitech systems setup/troubleshooting.
• Experience with Extron NAV, Crestron systems.
• Networking setup/troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/VLAN).
• Experience with Q-SYS, Logitech, Biamp, Extron NAV.
• UC platforms - Teams, Zoom, Webex.
• Tricaster switcher, PTZ cameras, DMX lighting.
• Video wall deployments (Planar/Christie/Barco/Samsung/Daktronics).
• Preventive maintenance routines.

Responsibilities

• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces for events.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure technology works and components function.
• Clean AV equipment including lenses, monitors, fans.
• Document job site activity and train clients on AV tech as needed.
• Provide timely support for meetings/installation tasks; assist with video/audio recording as applicable.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams professionally.
• Adhere to local safety standards on site duties.
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot audio/video systems.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
