Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Support Technician to be the primary contact for customers at client sites, coordinating with management, global helpdesk, and SIG teams to deliver world-class service. You will set up and troubleshoot meeting spaces, greet VIP attendees, and document resolutions to improve future events.

The role requires basic AV knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work onsite during events, possibly evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-profile meetings or events.
• Basic knowledge of AV equipment and conference room technology.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Availability to work onsite during scheduled events, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Valid Driver's License and a driving record meeting AVI-SPL standards.
• Regularly able to climb and work from ladders, lifting equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite point of contact for VIP meetings and ensure flawless execution.
• Assist with setup, configuration, and breakdown of meeting spaces and equipment.
• Provide basic AV troubleshooting and conference room support.
• Ensure all meeting materials and facilities are prepared and functioning before events.
• Greet VIP guests and attendees with professionalism and courtesy.
• Document issues and resolutions for continuous improvement.
• Set up events in auditorium and classroom environments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cables and hardware as needed.
• Complete site documentation as required.
• Work with internal/external teams in a professional manner.
• Provide client training as needed.
