Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking a direct-hire, full-time onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift at our Presort Services facility in Charlotte, NC. You will troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues on mail sorting equipment, with emphasis on downtime reduction.

Responsibilities include repairing conveyors and PLC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and using a tablet to track work and inventory.

Qualifications

2+ years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
Strong familiarity servicing conveyer machines and PLC systems.
Ability to read schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
Experience using a multi-meter or electronic testing equipment.
Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Repair conveyor machines, PLC systems and other electromechanical production equipment.
Repair electrical and mechanical components; perform preventive maintenance and installations.
Complete preventive maintenance to quality standards.
Respond to breakdowns and emergencies.
Use inventory, PM schedules, and work orders to reduce downtime.
Maintain spare parts inventory in EAM.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment promptly.
Use tablet to track work, downtime, and parts used.
Perform additional duties as required.
