Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Levittown, PA Presort Services facility. The role offers an hourly rate of $29 with potential overtime and a Sunday-Thursday shift from 6:45AM to 3:15PM EST.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose complex electromechanical production equipment used in mail sorting. Responsibilities include maintaining conveyors and PLCs, performing preventative maintenance, minimizing downtime, and documenting work using a tablet.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot under deadline pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belts, hydraulic/pneumatic components, motors and sensors.
• Complete preventive maintenance according to industry standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies.
• Use inventory, PM schedules, and work orders to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts/supply inventory in EAM systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and repair promptly.
• Use a tablet to track work, downtime, and parts used.
