Job summary
Grand Canyon University is seeking an experienced nurse educator to teach online Adult Health II/MedSurg in the ABSN program. This full-time faculty role emphasizes current teaching methods, online engagement, and student mentorship, with remote work from the Phoenix area.
The ideal candidate holds an MSN and a valid RN license (AZ or compact). Prior nursing program teaching experience and online instruction are required, with a December 7 start date and a 8am–5pm AZ schedule.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required (MSN) and Certified Nurse Educator preferred (CNE).
- 2 years of direct MedSurg patient care as an RN in a clinical setting required.
- Active RN license in AZ or a compact state.
- Experience teaching in a nursing program.
- Experience teaching online for a nursing program.
Responsibilities
- Teach online undergraduate courses and prepare activities that engage students.
- Develop instruction incorporating current teaching methodologies and MedSurg trends.
- Compile, administer and grade exams, assignments, and discussions by deadlines.
- Mentor students outside class hours and provide sessions for student success.
- Participate in college/university committees and assist curriculum development.
