Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an experienced nurse educator to teach online Adult Health II/MedSurg in the ABSN program. This full-time faculty role emphasizes current teaching methods, online engagement, and student mentorship, with remote work from the Phoenix area.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN and a valid RN license (AZ or compact). Prior nursing program teaching experience and online instruction are required, with a December 7 start date and a 8am–5pm AZ schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (MSN) and Certified Nurse Educator preferred (CNE).
• 2 years of direct MedSurg patient care as an RN in a clinical setting required.
• Active RN license in AZ or a compact state.
• Experience teaching in a nursing program.
• Experience teaching online for a nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Teach online undergraduate courses and prepare activities that engage students.
• Develop instruction incorporating current teaching methodologies and MedSurg trends.
• Compile, administer and grade exams, assignments, and discussions by deadlines.
• Mentor students outside class hours and provide sessions for student success.
• Participate in college/university committees and assist curriculum development.
