Job summary
Grand Canyon University is seeking a full-time instructor to teach Pediatrics in the ABSN program. This remote position involves delivering online courses, engaging learners, and applying current pediatric nursing knowledge.
The successful candidate will hold an MSN (CNE preferred), have 2+ years of pediatric RN experience, and be licensed in AZ or a compact state. You will mentor students, contribute to curriculum, and participate in committees.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required; CNE preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of direct Pediatrics patient care as an RN.
- Active RN license in AZ or a compact state.
- Experience teaching in a nursing program.
- Experience teaching online for a nursing program.
- Involvement in professional organizations, presentations, research or publications.
Responsibilities
- Teach online undergraduate courses and prepare activities that engage and stimulate discussions.
- Develop instruction incorporating current teaching methodologies and Pediatrics trends.
- Foster an online culture of learning.
- Administer and grade exams, assignments, and discussions; meet deadlines.
- Mentor students outside class hours and offer extra sessions for student success.
- Contribute to curriculum design and advocate for program changes.
- Participate in college/university committees and lead adjunct faculty.
