Job summary

Eastern University's College of Education seeks an Academic Quality Specialist to support online programs at undergraduate and graduate levels. You will work with the Manager of Academic Quality and faculty to manage LMS courses, coordinate content updates, and assist with technical issues to ensure smooth courses.

The role emphasizes collaboration with CTLT, program directors, and ed-tech vendors, focusing on data-driven improvements, FERPA compliance, and use of Brightspace and related tools.

Qualifications

• Requires undergraduate degree; master’s preferred for higher-level roles.
• Experience with online course or curriculum development (K-12 or Higher Ed).
• Knowledge of educational technologies/tools, including Brightspace.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and FERPA compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with copying and updating online courses in CEBS before each term.
• Coordinate textbook adoptions and updates with MAQ, program directors, and bookstore staff.
• Support students and faculty with technical issues in active courses.
• Assist with development and build-out of new courses in the LMS.
• Review content for quality and compliance with university standards.
• Stay current on instructional technologies and best practices.
