Job summary

Jefferson Community & Technical College is seeking an Education Specialist to support the eLearning Office, primarily at the Southwest Campus. The role drives faculty development, online course design, and LMS support to enable successful online learning.

The position emphasizes collaboration with college divisions, timely reporting, and ensuring excellent Customer Service while maintaining online calendar and course schedules. Hybrid work arrangement available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of related experience, or equivalent.
Master’s degree preferred; teaching in higher education is a plus.
Strong written and oral communication; detail oriented; collaborative.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement professional development for online course delivery and pedagogy.
Manage administrative processes for Academic Calendar and online classes.
Monitor eLearning pages and support faculty online via LMS certification.
Assist faculty with technical issues in online classes and respond to inquiries.
Support Kentucky Essential Standards for online courses.
Collaborate with divisions to design online courses across subjects.
Prepare reports, timelines, and schedule online classes each semester.
Supervise student workers and provide excellent internal/external service.
